Dear labouring people! Revolutionary and Democratic forces!
India is surrounded by a grave fascist danger. Unlike the parties that took over governance after India’s, so called independence on 1947, the fascist BJP is not a regular political party. The RSS-BJP, a fascist terror organization built from the ground up, is attacking the so called Indian Constitution and crushing the rights won by millions through long struggles. In short, a hybrid Corporate-Saffron fascist terror regime has emerged as the common enemy of all the people of India by unleashing brutal assaults on them.
The BJP-RSS has been implementing its political, economic, and cultural policies through corporate-saffron fascist attacks, targeting one by one of the majority of the country’s population — including farmers, workers, students, small and medium-scale entrepreneurs, and intellectuals.
For the massive expansion of imperialist finance capital, what is needed is a unified, undivided, and monopolistic market – which is being orchestrated by Brahminical fascist forces under the name of “Hindu Rashtra.”
Since the 2008 global capitalist economic crisis, top Indian monopoly comprador bourgeoisie like Ambani and Adani have emerged as transnational comprador bourgeoisie and also surpassing older giants like Tata and Birla. They have monopolised everything from agriculture and industry to telecommunications, banking sector, and even defence manufacturing. These forces are dictating to implement Indian-style fascism through the RSS-BJP.
The neo-colonial policies of privatization, liberalization, and globalization as recolonization introduced in the 1990s have reached their extreme stages. Trapped in between the trade war led by the American superpower and the tax policies, which claims to resist it, by the modern social-imperialist power China, India has lost its economic self-reliance, political stability, and the so-called sovereignty.
To shift these crises onto the backs of the people, the RSS-BJP rejects constitutional frameworks and democratic directive principles asserting that such methods are no longer useful. Instead, they advance fascist terror as the mode of governance, unleashing a frenzy of violence.
In a country with many ethnicities, languages, cultures, and religions, the RSS-BJP has worked for over a century to impose a homogenized dominance under the slogan of “One Religion, One Language, One Nation” — “Hindu, Hindi, Hindustan.”
Since capturing direct power at the Union level in 2014, the RSS-BJP has been aggressively pursuing this agenda, aiming to transform the country into an Aryan-Brahminical empire by 2025.
To resist and defeat such fascist terror oppression, we have, since 2021, emphasized the need for unity among all anti-fascist forces and for a common organisational platform to confront the RSS-BJP — the common enemy — through a united struggle.
We stressed that it is crucial to form a broad Anti-Fascist Democratic People’s Front based on the working class’s united leadership, to unite the working people in the fight against fascism. We declared this through our tactical slogan:
“Defeat Corporate Saffron Fascism! Establish a Democratic Coalition Government!”

To accomplish this vital task, it is necessary to unite and organize farmers, workers, weavers, students, fisherfolk, women, small entrepreneurs, traders, journalists, lawyers, professors, and patriotic scientists — from all sections of society — under one front to combat the cluster bomb attacks of the fascist terror and raise awareness at the grassroots.
For over 35 years, we have been actively engaged with peasant organizations, labour unions, student groups and people’s movements through People’s Art and Literary Association, the Peasant Liberation Front, the Revolutionary Students and Youth Front, and the New Democratic Labors’ Front. We strongly consider that now is the right time to bring together all such organizations, groups, and individuals fighting against fascism under this common goal.
In this context, we issue a call to unite and form an Anti-Fascist Democratic People’s Front to defeat the RSS-BJP fascist gang, which has turned into a public enemy inflicting extreme repression and suffering on the people.
We are submitting this call on April 22, the birthday of Comrade Lenin, the legendary hero of the working class who led the Russian Revolution and established the world’s first proletarian state. We address this appeal to all revolutionary and democratic forces, struggling organizations, and social activists.
