Conference Resolutions:
1. BJP has been in power in India since 2014 and is gradually establishing its fascist dictatorship. For more than a year, it has been destroying livelihoods with murderous attacks on Muslims, racist political speeches, bulldozing houses, etc. Likewise, many attacks have been carried out on Christians, churches, and their places of worship. Continuous attacks have been carried out as a threat to the religious minority people.
The Hindu sectarian Sangh Parivar organizations like RSS and Sanatan Sansthan who are carrying out these attacks are fascist terrorist movements in the guise of democracy. This conference urges the Union and State Governments to ban all of them.
2. In order to prevent Scheduled Caste people from entering the temple, many attacks are being carried out. The Supreme Court itself gives the verdict that no one belonging to the non-Brahman castes, especially the Sudra and Panchama castes, has the right to be a priest in the temples thereby enforcing the four Vedas, Agamas and Manusmriti, which upholds the four varna discrimination. This conference strongly condemns the legalization of Sanatana-Varnasrama dharma by this Supreme Shikha Court through its judgments.
3. In a move towards Hindu Rashtra, the BJP-led Union Government is rejecting the Constitution that defines India is a Union of various states and is taking away all state rights like law and order, education, health, employment, tax collection, etc. by centralizing them under its control to enforce one-nation, one-election, one-religion, one-education, one-culture. This conference calls for real federalism, state powers, and people of all nationalities to struggle to end this one-power fascism trend.
4. This conference strongly condemns the increasing GST taxation and giving tax concessions to corporates in order to destroy the small and medium enterprises that play a significant role in India’s economy and provide huge employment opportunities. Also, this conference urges the Central and State Governments to make appropriate plans to develop and improve small, micro and medium level industries.
5. This conference insists on the withdrawal of all the cases filed against the farmers who had been fighting in Delhi for over a year to condemn the complete handing over of Indian agriculture to the agribusiness corporations, and to fulfil all the promises made to the farmers including the minimum legal support price. Also, Ashish Mishra, who rammed his car on the farmers rally during the demonstration in Lakhimpur Kheri, should be arrested and punished for the crime of murder. The conference also demands the sacking of his father and Union minister Ajay Mishra from ministry post.
6. Lakhs of acres of farmland owned by Hindu temples, Hindu monasteries, and Hindu mutts across the country and also by other religious institutions should be distributed to cultivators of those lands. Similarly, this conference calls for all the houses and plots of those who have been living in mutts and temple lands for many years to be owned by the squatters.
7. The imposition of saffron history in education by the RSS and BJP by distorting Indian history and the privatization of education through the New Education Policy must be defeated. This system of education creates the robot slaves needed by the corporates, denies the right of education to the working people, and denies the unique culture, language and historical rights of the states. Therefore, the India-wide National Education Policy should be scrapped. This conference insists that everyone should fight for the right of their respective states to determine their own curricula and educational systems.
8. For the past eight years, the fascist Modi government has disrupted the economic life of India’s vast majority of working people, farmers, small traders and fishermen. The fascist Modi government is looting the life of Indian people with severe unemployment, increase in the price of essential commodities, increase in the price of petrol, diesel and cooking gas unheard during the past 75 years. At the same time, not only the public sector but also the natural resources in India have been opened up to the plunder of a few corporate capitalists like Adani and Ambani, and as a result, India has become the most unequal country in the world. Through this conference, we declare that the People’s Power will stand firm in the struggle against this.
9. The conference urges the revocation of NIA and UAP Acts which jeopardize democracy, freedom of expression, human rights, statehood, right to fight through its unlimited powers to arrest anyone without the permission of the state, imprison anyone for years without trial who questions and speaks against the BJP government and ban movements. Also, in the Bhima Koregaon case, all intellectuals including Anand Theldumde, who have been arrested under the UPA Act and have been in jail more than three years, should be released. The conference also urges the removal of the ban on the Popular Front of India, which has been recently banned under the UPA Act.
10. The People’s Power is making due efforts to form a nationwide Anti-Fascist Democratic United Front and unite all democratic forces in it with the immediate duty of defeating all attempts to recolonise India and bring under the saffron fascist dictatorship with political and economic policies for ruthless corporate exploitation. The conference puts forward a rallying call to all revolutionary and democratic forces to stand by People’s Power in all its attempts and to unite against the fascist BJP.
11. Russia’s war on Ukraine is a result of America’s brazen attempt to annex Ukraine into NATO in violation of the treaty and to reassert Russia’s hegemony. This conference calls upon both countries to immediately abandon the unjust war in Ukraine, which has created so much havoc. Also, the cause of regional wars all over the world is the result of American hegemonic policy. This conference gives a call to the working people of the world to raise their voices strongly that the NATO organization, which is acting as a vassal force, should be dissolved immediately.
