Statement of CP(ML) New Democracy on the cold blooded killings of CPI (Maoist) General Secretary and 25 others
Central Committee of CPI(ML) New Democracy strongly condemns killing of Com. Keshav Rao, General Secretary of CPI (Maoist), number of other Maoist leaders and cadres and adivasis.
We demand an immediate end to Operation Kagar which is aimed at physical liquidation of Maoist leaders and cadres and suppression of tribals’ resistance to corporate plunder of natural resources.
RSS-BJP Govt. is conducting a campaign of extrajudicial mass killings of CPI (Maoist) leaders totally trampling over the law of the land.
Despite CPI (Maoist) declaring unilateral ceasefire and offering unconditional peace talks, the govt.’s resort to such killings shows that they are not for peace but for violent suppression for their diabolical design to clear these mineral rich regions for corporate plunder.

Chhattisgarh Home Minister of RSS BJP Govt. of the state had himself called on CPI(Maoist) to come forward for peace talks but the Govt. has gone back. Govt. is continuing this murderous campaign of physical extermination despite a number of intellectuals and democratic rights organizations and activists calling for cease fire and peace talks and a number of parliamentary parties also opposing Operation Kagar and demanding end to it.
We demand an immediate end to the brutal state violence and a judicial enquiry into the cold blooded killings.
CPI (ML) New Democracy pays homage to the fallen comrades. We call upon all communist revolutionary organizations, all left parties, progressive and democratic forces including democratic rights organizations, parties opposing Operation Kagar and all peace and justice loving people to come together to demand an end to Operation Kagar and an end to the killing spree of the RSS BJP Govt.
